Robert Schmidt LCPC, NCC currently works as a Behavioral Specialist for Talbot County Public Schools in Maryland, where he has written and implements the county Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program. Rob also developed a national model (research-based) School Mental Health Program producing over 10 consecutive years of program outcome data. He has published multiple journal articles and has recently co-authored a book with his colleague, Dr. Kathy Seifert, entitled "How Children Become Violent". Rob provides national consultative services on how to develop and sustain such programs. Rob presents nationally on Suicide Prevention and School-Based Mental Health Programming. Previously Rob has worked in multiple capacities within Johns Hopkins, including the Psychiatric Children's Center; Baltimore Adolescent Treatment Program; Outpatient Clinic and 24-hour Baltimore Child & Adolescent Crisis Response Team.
