Paige Gilmore

Paige Gilmore graduated from UMBC with a BSW in 2004. On February 19th 2008 her brother Christopher Allen died by suicide. While the family had known of his depression, the shock was heart wrenching.

In June of that same year, Paige and her mother Kathy Allen founded The Christopher Foundation, an organization for suicide prevention, education, and survivor support.

In 2009, Paige became the Vice-President of SPEAK (Suicide Prevention Education Awareness for Kids). SPEAK is a highly respected organization in Maryland, as well as nationally, for their work in the area of suicide prevention, bullying, depression, etc.

The Christopher Foundation has donated books to the Baltimore County Library, assembled survivor information packets to be made available to funeral homes and emergency rooms, held holiday events for survivors, and are currently working with SPEAK (Suicide Prevention Education Awareness for Kids) to push a program promoting Suicide Awareness through the Lifetime.
