Dr. Jacobson is Assistant Professor at Towson
University in the Family Studies Department.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Jacobson provides
clinical social work services through Counseling Centers of
Maryland. She is also a Senior Researcher for MASI Research
Consultants, Inc. an international consulting firm specializing on
the evaluation of employee assistance and work/life programs.
Prior to teaching full-time, Dr. Jacobson
provided employee assistance services to NASA, Goddard Space Flight
Center, where she was recognized with several awards for her
service.
She is currently co-chair of the Employee
Assistance Professional Association (EAPA) Subcommittee on Workplace
Disaster Preparedness and Response.
Dr. Jacobson often presents her work at
professional conferences and has published several research articles
on topics including: crisis intervention, suicide, and employee
assistance programs.
